Welcome to the Kraig Andre’ Diggs Scholarship Fund. This scholarship fund was established in 2018 to honor the life of Kraig Andre’ Diggs and to continue his legacy of compassion, kindness and living life to its fullest.
The Kraig Andre’ Diggs Scholarship Fund
The Kraig Andre’ Diggs Scholarship is funded through the proceeds of our annual dodgeball tournaments, sponsorships and individual donations. The organization does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, gender, sexual orientation, handicap or national/ethnic origin.
Our goal is to bestow scholarships to exemplary individuals and to assist others in making their dreams of attending college or a university, a reality. Financial need is considered, however all students are encouraged to apply. A one time award will be given to each chosen recipient. The selection process is completed by Kraig’s family.
Scholarship Details and Requirements
Award Amounts:
Barnstable High School Student(s) could be awarded up to $1500
One $500 scholarship will be awarded to one student in each of the following schools:
Bourne High School
Dennis Yarmouth High School
Falmouth High School
Mashpee High School
Monomoy High School (Chatham & Harwich)
Nauset High School (Brewster, Orleans, Eastham & Wellfleet)
Sandwich High School
Cape Cod Regional Technical High School (Harwich)
Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical High School (Bourne)
Sturgis Charter Public Schools
We are able to give out awards to each school, but only if the student’s essay qualifies.

Essay – 500 word essay about the following:
- Why do you value your Mother & Father, why do you love him/her.
- How does she or he inspire you to live your life to its fullest & be the best that you can be.
(You may write about another family member – sibling, grandparent, aunt or uncle).
Any essay less than 500 words will not be considered. Any essay postmarked or emailed after the date of April 5, 2024 will not be considered.
Please do Not send any other records with your application & essay. If needed, we will request it.
If selected as a finalist:
If you become a candidate for a scholarship you will be contacted to schedule a formal interview. The interviews are done over the phone.
Please be prepared to discuss the following:
- Long term/short term goals
- Personality strengths & weaknesses
- Accomplishments (personal, academic, business)
- Family background
- Extracurricular activities
